Bill Scott is a 1st Degree Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under Master Pablo Popovitch.
He started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 1999 with Professor Ricardo Almeida and the Renzo Gracie Team as a white belt and earned his Black Belt on November 4th, 2006.
On November 21st, 2009, he was honored to receive his 1st degree from Multiple Grappling World Champion, 3rd Degree Black Belt and friend, Pablo Popovitch.
Bill has been training with Pablo since 2002 and is now an affiliate of TEAM POPOVITCH.
Coming from a wrestling back round, Bill was a 3x Region and District Champ from Brick Memorial High School with a record of 96-9-1. He then went on to wrestle at Middlesex College where he was 77-4 also earning All-American status.
His desire to train, stay in shape and compete lead him to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
He is a full-time instructor and competes in grappling and professional mma (mixed martial arts) events in the east coast.
For the past 6 years Bill has been serving his community by helping to teach self defense Jiu-Jitsu for Law Enforcement both with the local PD and NJ State Police C.E.R.T teams.
As a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and teacher, Bill Scott will continue to help spread the knowledge of the sport and benefits that anyone can achieve from it personally or professionally.
